CHICAGO (WLS) -- A gay slur caught on camera during a Blackhawks game sets off a firestorm. Forward Andrew Shaw has apologized for his remark. And the NHL took action: Shaw had to sit out Thursday night's game and he must undergo sensitivity training.



Some have said this can be a teachable moment. But what kind of impact does an incident like this have on the gay community?



Talking about all this and more are Peter Johnson, the director of public relations at the Center on Halsted and Brian Hull with the Chicago Gay Hockey Association.
