LSD speed limit to remain same for spring
CHICAGO Right now, the speed limit is set at 40 miles per hour between Oak Street and Hollywood Avenue.
For the past 10 years, the city has bumped it up to 45 miles per hour every April 1.
But that's been postponed because of the road conditions caused by potholes.
City officials say they're concerned about driver safety.
So far this year, crews have repaired more than 800 potholes between Foster and Irving Park.
More patching is planned. But officials say a resurfacing project is needed.
