Deerfield sues ComEd over outages
DEERFIELD The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Lake County Circuit Court, claims there were 1,400 power outages in Deerfield between 2000 and 2007.
Of those, only 13 percent were related to the weather.
Deerfield's mayor calls that a "willful dereliction of duty."
A spokesperson for ComEd says the utility is disappointed in the lawsuit because the company is fulfilling its service obligations.
