A former Lake County chief judge has pleaded not guilty to charges he was driving drunk when he was arrested in north suburban Vernon Hills last month.

David Hall also pleaded not guilty to charges he resisted arrest during the incident back on April 28. Hall resigned as chief judge two weeks after his arrest. Another judge was assigned to replace him as chief judge of Lake County.

If convicted, Hall could face up to a year in prison.
