Dress shorts are back, whether they are plaid, striped, seersucker or even red; the louder…the better, says Brad Habansky, owner of Guise/Chic in Chicago. The difference is the cut. The fit is slimmer, just like a slim cut dress pant, but cut off at the knee.
So how do you wear these new trendy shorts without looking like your Dad? Easy, throw on a solid t shirt and flip flops or canvas sneakers. Or dress it up with a solid polo shirt or even a solid long sleeved button up. You can add a dressier sandal or even a loafer with no socks. Don't be afraid to wear this out at night, even to the new hip lounge.
Habansky says you can wear your dad's shorts and look cool. Here's some ways to pull off this look favored by several big-name stars! For more information visit Guise/Chic, 2128 N. Halsted in Chicago, IL 60614; www.guisechic.com
