US Airways stops serving free drinks

It will be the first major airline to charge passengers for coffee and soft drinks in-flight.

Starting Friday, all non-alcoholic beverages cost up to $2.

The Association of Flight Attendants is objecting to the fees, and says flight attendants may give the drinks away for free if it means keeping order among passengers who may become upset.

US Airways says it's charging for the drinks to help offset fuel costs.
