Video games might have some benefits

Researchers just released a series of studies documenting the positive aspects of video games.

One study of junior high kids found playing video games helped improve their ability to problem solve. Another study found surgeons who played video games were 27 percent faster at advanced surgical procedures and made fewer errors.

But other studies found students who played violent games tended to be more hostile than those who played nonviolent games.

Results of the studies were presented at the American Psychological Association convention in Boston.
