Teachers in far northwest suburban Huntley are nearing a compromise in their contract talks with school administrators.District 158 teachers had threatened to strike, but decided to stay on their jobs as the school year began three weeks ago.

Contract talks began back in February and stalled over the summer.

It appears both sides have reached a tentative agreement on some of the key sticking points. They plan to meet again this weekend.
