Cook County eligible for fed. flood aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is going to help pay some of the cost of flood relief and clean up.

Cook County board president Todd Stroger declared Cook County a disaster area following the record flooding in mid September.

That step was necessary to secure the federal assistance for local governments.

Some homeowners and businesses may also be eligible for federal flood aid. They must apply to FEMA by December 2.
