Police say they were called to the home after they received a report that someone was trying to take their own life. When officers arrived at the scene, they smelled natural gas and tried to contact the person inside.
Then, an explosion blew out the North Side of the home.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
