Police say a man who was hiding behind a dumpster by the Harris Bank on Midland Avenue in Joliet approached employees on Wednesday morning. He told them he was armed and forced them to open the bank, police said.
The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of money from the vault.
The Daybreak Bandit is suspected in other robberies in Romeoville, Plainfield and Hinsdale in the last year. A $20,000 reward has been offered for information in the three previous robberies.
Anyone with information should call the FBI.
