Police suspect the motorist was driving under the influence. He was also injured in the collision.
Police say the driver and the injured worker are expected to be OK. Charges are pending against the driver.
Worker hurt in alleged drunken driving crash
May 1, 2009 It happened Friday morning near the Mannheim Road exit.
The driver of a car slammed into the back of a pickup truck that the worker was in. He was placing warning signs along that stretch of the expressway for a street cleaning crew. The impact threw him off the back of the pickup.
