The community care program gets state and federal dollars to provide services such as caregivers so that seniors can live independently in their own homes and continue to participate in their communities.
Group concerned about seniors protests
May 26, 2009 Members of the Jane Addams Senior Caucus are calling on the general assembly to fully fund home care services for seniors. They're worried that if funding is cut then thousands of seniors will have to leave their homes and move to nursing homes.
