The bomb was apparently crafted with a beer bottle, a wick and a liquid accelerant.
Police found remnants of the device under the bridge. A small area was charred but no one was hurt.
Naperville police are also investigating the third bomb threat in four weeks against the Super Target on West Jefferson.
A manager told police someone called him on Sunday, saying there was a bomb in the store. Nothing was found.
