Raymond Liggins, 21, was sitting in his car outside his girlfriend's home in the 7300-block of South Dante Avenue.
A man reportedly approached Liggins demanded his car and shot him.
Liggins jumped out of the car and died at the hospital. The car was later found in the 8700-block of South Chicago Avenue.
There have been no arrests so far.
