Cook Co. board gets new commissioner

August 31, 2009 Democratic committeemen elected Illinois state trooper Edwin Reyes to the county board. He replaces Roberto Maldonado who left his post to become a Chicago alderman.

Reyes now serves on Governor Pat Quinn's security detail. The county board vote on the tax rollback is set for Tuesday.
