Transit union protests possible CTA cuts

December 9, 2009 (CHICAGO) Members of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 241 led the protest outside CTA headquarters around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. They represent bus operators and bus maintenance employees.

Protesters carried picket signs and voiced concerns over what they call a lack of permanent funding source for mass transit in Illinois.

CTA is proposing service cuts scheduled to take effect in February.
