A weekend raid of a rural Illinois farm led to the arrests of 10 people accused of participating in an illegal gambling and cockfighting ring. The bust happened on Saturday at a barn in Earlville, east of Interstate 39 in LaSalle County.

The investigation began in Cook County and undercover officers with the Cook County Sheriff's "Animal Crimes Unit" were able to infiltrate the ring.

The sheriff's office said this ring had been in operation for at least five years.
