2010 begins with prayer for peace on Chicago's South Side

Community activists and religious leaders on the city's South Side prayed for peace in the New Year.They gathered on the site where Fenger High School honor roll student Derrion Albert was beaten to death in September. It happened during a fight between two rival groups of teens.

Albert's aunt, Rose Braxton, was among those at the vigil.

Besides remembering victims of violence they called on young people to turn away from guns, gangs and crime.
