Visitors to the Peggy Notebeart Nature Museum in Lincoln are helping turn Christmas trash into New Year's treasure.Visitors brought boxes and wrapping paper leftover from the holidays into the museum to make art.

Chicago artist Erik Peterson has already transformed some of the holiday scraps into a mural that is now on display. It is part of the museum's eco-friendly holiday program, which continues on weekends through the end of January.
