Most people are struggling to get more shut-eye, but a new report shows African-Americans get the least amount of sleep.

The news comes from the National Sleep Foundation's "Sleep in America Poll." It found that African-Americans report getting the least amount of sleep of all ethnic groups, but they also say they required less sleep each night to perform their best during the day.

Researchers point out that inadequate sleep is linked to obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Those diseases are more prevalent among African-Americans.
