Kids caught "sexting" would not face criminal charges under a bill making its way through the Illinois Senate. The senate approved the bill that takes aim at minors who use computers or cell phones to share nude photos of their peers.

The Tribune reports offenders would not face criminal charges. Instead, they would get juvenile court supervision that could result in counseling or community service.

The proposal has widespread support in both chambers. And some version of the proposal is expected to land on Ill. Governor Pat Quinn's desk.
