Chicago residents hold anti-violence prayer vigil

Ceasefire and other anti-violence groups held a prayer vigil Saturday afternoon for those injured by recent gun violence.The vigil took place at 80th Street and South Manistee in Chicago, near the spot where 7-year-old Desaree Sanders was shot Wednesday afternoon.

The bullet struck her in the head. She survived but was critically injured.

One of the most recent shooting victims in Chicago, 15-year-old Efrain Escutia, died early Saturday morning after being wounded in a shooting Friday night on the Southwest Side.
