Chicago churches host spring break 'Safe Haven'

Approximately 1,000 Chicago public school students are enjoying spring break through the city's Safe Haven program The program started with a rally at the new Regal Theater on Chicago's South Side. Students got to meet the leaders of some of the churches who are hosting the five-day program.

Students will work with the church leaders to learn about making changes in their communities that discourage violence. They will also enjoy arts and crafts, sports and cultural activities.
