One of those was an American Airlines flight bound for Chicago. The plane returned to Boston. No one was hurt and there was no sign of a fire.
A second plane was headed to New York's Laguardia Airport when there was a report of smoke in the cockpit. That flight also returned to Logan Airport. No one on board was hurt.
Both incidents are being investigated.
