There were reports Thursday morning of fires aboard two flights taking off from Boston's Logan Airport.

One of those was an American Airlines flight bound for Chicago. The plane returned to Boston. No one was hurt and there was no sign of a fire.

A second plane was headed to New York's Laguardia Airport when there was a report of smoke in the cockpit. That flight also returned to Logan Airport. No one on board was hurt.

Both incidents are being investigated.
