But the thrill of Saturday's victory had fans jamming shops selling Hawks gear. Shoppers are snapping up everything from jerseys to pennants.
Fans were still talking Sunday about the win, even though they were anxious for Monday.
"I was getting nervous because they kept going back and forth, and I saw that they scored 6 to 5 and we were yelling and stuff," fan Cody Forrester told ABC7 Chicago.
"For me, the biggest problem is figuring out which jersey to wear to the game," said Andy Carter, also a fan.
Game 2 is set for Monday night at the United Center.
