Chicago area storms knock out power, cause damage

May 30, 2010 (CHICAGO) In north suburban Antioch, the storm brought down several trees. One fell on top of a Marine storage unit on Bluff Lake, damaging both the building and boats inside.

Another tree crashed through the window of a house.

"All of a sudden, couldn't see two feet in front you. Winds 80 to 90 miles per hour, microburst," said homeowner Paul Duval. "Stuck a branch right through the window."

Antioch fire officials say downed trees also knocked out power to many customers. There were no reports of injuries.
