The retro-looking car was a big hit with buyers when it debuted in 2000. At one point, it was Chrysler's top-selling car. But sales slowed considerably.
Industry analysts say its downfall may be because look of the p-t cruiser was never updated after it made its debut.
Chrysler tried to cut costs by later equipping it with cheaper radios and interiors. The last PT Cruiser will roll off the production line Friday.
