The candy was handed out on Sunday night in an area bordered by Weathersfield Way, Wise Road, Braintree Drive and Springinsguth Road.
Two people reported receiving candy with either a needle or a pin inserted through the torn wrapping. No one was injured.
Police warn that candy with open or damaged packaging should not be eaten.
