Possible link between prostate cancer, finger length?

December 1, 2010

The study in the British Journal of Cancer finds men with long index fingers have a lower risk of prostate cancer.

Scientists say this could be used to help select those who need regular screening for the disease.

Authors of the study say they believe the findings may be related to levels of the male hormone testosterone. And it could be used in combination with other factors to select at risk men for screening.
