The Oak Brook Board of Fire and Police Commissioners heard testimony Thursday night.
Police Chief Thomas Sheahan was on the stand for much of the time. He testified that Stephen Peterson should be fired for his consistent disregard for departmental rules and for obstructing the state police investigation into his father Drew's missing wife Stacey.
Stephen Peterson has been on paid leave since August. He was suspended shortly after testifying that he took three guns from his father the day after Stacey Peterson disappeared.
