Heavy drinkers are more at risk of dying from pancreatic cancer, according to a new study in the Archives of Internal Medicine.

The study shows people who have three or more hard liquor drinks a day face a 36 percent higher risk of dying from the disease than non-drinkers.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers and is hard to treat. By the time symptoms appear the disease tends to be in an advanced stage.
