Close to one in every five young adults has high blood pressure according to a new study out of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Researchers studied more than 14,000 people aged 24 to 32.
To make matters worse, most of the participants in the study had no idea they had a health problem.
Researchers believe the increase can be attributed largely to the obesity epidemic in America - combined with diets high in sodium-laden processed foods and very little exercise.
