According to authorities, a man pointed a gun at employees and customers at the North Shore Trust and Savings Bank in Waukegan and ordered them to the floor Thursday morning.
The man allegedly stuffed cash into a trash bag and left, but there were dye packs inside with the money.
Officers later found the bag and the money, covered in red dye, near the scene.
The suspect was still on the loose Saturday morning.
