The attack happened Thursday morning as Jesse Andersen was headed to work. He's seen these photos and says they show three of the five men who attacked him.
Andersen says they approached him on the train, took his iPod and ran off the train as it stopped at the Chicago and State Street platform. Andersen says he chased the thieves and they punched them. Now he just hopes they get caught.
"You may have taken my iPod but you haven't taken my pride. I'm still going to ride the CTA Red Line. And I'm not going to stop," Andersen said.
- Police also recommend taking the following precautions:
- Try to walk with a companion or group if possible.
- Always be aware of your surroundings, especially while using a cell phone.
- Report suspicious activity immediately, giving detailed descriptions to police of the suspicious persons including clothing, tattoos, acne, etc.
