A Chicago City Council panel approved a proposed trial program that would let restaurants and bars keep their patios and rooftop gardens open until midnight seven days a week. Currently, rooftops and patios are only open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights and the rest of the week they shut down at 11 p.m.
The full City Council will vote on the proposal next week.
