A new study finds many US college students are using mobile phone applications while driving.
A survey of 93 university students finds about 35 percent of them say they sometimes use the apps while driving and 10 percent say they often or almost always use them -- this even though some were in motor vehicle accidents while using the apps.
The information is scheduled to be presented at the American Psychological Association meeting.
