Binge-eating 'high' similar to smoking pot

There may be a reason why we tend to overeat certain foods even though they may not necessarily be good for us.

That "high" you get when eating all that fat from that yummy burger or banana split may be related to the same "high" you might feel if you smoked marijuana.

Scientists say that same mechanism that gives pot smokers the "munchies" appears to help explain why people who eat fat may crave even more fat.

This new research involving rats might offer insight into how our bodies force us to eat and could eventually help lead toward treatments designed to calm food cravings.
