The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says the teen was part of a church group from the Chicago area. His name has not been released.
The group was visiting the Promised Land Paintball Park in Trevor, Wis., on Saturday. People were swimming under a lifeguard's supervision when the lifeguard noticed one person was missing. A search began and the boy was immediately pulled from the pond.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
