Families and loved ones of current service members and veterans joined representatives from all four branches of the military for the ceremony at Soldier Field.
Thirty service members, including 22 Navy SEALs, were killed when their helicopter crashed in Afghanistan last week.
There were speeches by military officers as well as performances by the Navy band Great Lakes.
