The Black United Fund of Illinois held it's annual Living Legends Passing the Torch Awards.
The ceremony was held at the historic Parkway Ballroom on South King Drive.
Among the legends honored was Hattie Burton, an educator who taught in the military and on Chicago's South Side. She passed the torch to her daughter, ABC7 anchor Cheryl Burton.
Congratulations to both of them and all of the honorees.
