James Henson faces several charges including burglary and escape.
The McHenry County Sheriff's office says he was found trespassing in a barn when he was first taken into custody on Wednesday. Once inside a squad car, investigators say he kicked out the rear passenger window and climbed out.
He was found at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday near a bike path.
