Fifteen people were without homes Tuesday after flames ripped through a two-story residence on Chicago's West Side.

The fire started at approximately 8:30 p.m. Monday in the 400-block of North Central Ave. Officials say flames started on the second floor and spread to the attic of the building.

A firefighter suffered a shoulder injury and was treated at a hospital in Oak Park.

There was no word on what sparked the blaze.
