City crews removed part of a concrete and steel barrier that blocked fire crews from Tuesday's deadly fire at Concordia Place Apartments on the Far South Side.

The complex on 130th Street has just one entrance. Firefighters say that and speed bumps slowed them down by about two-and-a-half minutes.

Jeremiah Myles, 18 months, and 3-year-old Destiny Myles died in the fire.

Concordia Place Apartments management also plans to remove half of the speed humps and put new address numbers on buildings.
