Living to 100 might be tougher than you think

A team of researchers now believes that death rates continue to rise at the same rate after age 80 instead of flattening out a bit like previously thought.

Scientists from the Center on Aging at the University of Chicago say the risk that people will outlive their savings may be exaggerated.

They believe their findings could lead to new estimates of lifespan.

And, that in turn could affect insurance companies and even affect calculations about how long retirement income will last.
