A Cook County morgue employee is accused of threatening to get a gun and bring it back to the West Side facility.

The autopsy technician was reportedly facing disciplinary action stemming from recent investigations of bodies piling up and reports of unhealthy working conditions at the morgue.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, 58-year-old Joel Neason is charged with simple battery, which is a misdemeanor.

Neason reportedly is one of three staffers informed they are facing discipline in the wake of the investigation into conditions at the morgue.
