Despite reports that Netflix was in talks with cable operators about adding their services to an on-demand format, it appears the deal is a no-go.

Many cable providers already have on-demand channels and some view Netflix as competition.

Deadline Hollywood reports Comcast, DirectTV and Dish have all declined a deal.

The LA Times is reporting that executives who sell Netflix content say the company wouldn't be able to create an on-demand channel under the terms of its current deals.
