Mayor thanks Chicagoans after NATO summit

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is thanking the city's residents, business owners and community organizations for making the NATO summit a success.

In a full-page ad Tuesday morning, the mayor expresses his gratitude. He writes, "this week the world got chance to see why (we) are proud to call Chicago home."

However, you may notice the word "'we" is missing. A spokesperson from the mayor's office says she is embarrassed that the word was mistakenly omitted from the last line of the ad.

The mayor also personally thanked some of Chicago's finest for their work. He shook hands with police officers Monday at the corner of Randolph and Michigan.
