Mueller died Saturday after contracting West Nile virus.
He had served as the west suburban village's president for nearly two decades.
He had previously been diagnosed with blood cancer, which doctors say weakened his immune system.
Mueller was a lifelong Lombard resident.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 24 from 2-9 p.m. at Saint Pius Catholic Church in Lombard.
His funeral will be Saturday, August 25 at 10 a.m. at Saint Pius.
