No deal on teachers contract, strike going into 3rd day

Chicago School Board President David Vitale said school officials and union leaders have not come to an agreement on the second day of a strike. Negotiations will resume Wednesday.

Chicago public school teachers are in their second day of strikes as negotiations continue over a contract dispute. Thousands of teachers, nurses and social workers who are part of the CTU gathered at the Chicago Public Schools headquarters around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and marched through the Loop. It was the second day of rallies downtown.
